Reading your fellow trainees'
reports on their data and identifying what you think would
be relevant to them, you should develop a better understanding
of your own data now. Highlight the relevant information
with a marker on your data printouts. You may use different
colors or different means of emphasis such as underlining,
bracketing, and asterisk tagging to indicate different
types of information. You may also add brief notes in
the side margins and the spaces between the lines regarding
the type of the information.
Remember to maintain consistency across the materials
when you are highlighting. In order to remind yourself
of the signs or abbreviations you have used, you should
provide a list explaining what a sign or an abbreviation
stands for in your analysis. Attach it to the marked
materials when you submit them to your advisor. A few
